Graphic design of animated film
two-year, full-time diploma
Graduates of this program will be proficient in all aspects of animated film production as designers, colorists, cartoonists and animators. Only applicants who pass an aptitude test will be accepted to study Graphic Design of Animated Films. In our study program students will become acquainted with the technology and production techniques of cartoon films, cut-out animation as well as the stop-motion animated puppet film genre. Both of these programs take place in legendary Karel Zeman?s film studio and draw from the deep history of animated film in Zlin.
Image and sound in film, television and radio production
two-year, full-time diploma
Graduates of this program will have expertise in many areas of image and sound production and audio-visual works. The scope of opportunities is very wide. Students will first learn the fundamentals of production, and then the student?s later practical work will decide their specialization. Education is focused on the mastering of assistant technical professions, such as assistant cameraman. In practical lessons, students carry out cinematographic, photographic and sound exercises in the fields of feature, documentary and animated filmmaking.
Production managing
two-year, full-time diploma
Graduates of this program are trained for work on film and television crews, particularly as production assistants and assistant directors. Students will acquire the requisite organizational skills for film pre-production, actual filming and post-production within the whole audio-visual range.

The Animation Studios in Zlín are opening their doors again to host a workshop in English for anyone interested in learning the basics of creating traditional animation. This workshop also gives participants the opportunity to learn about the cultural and film history of the Czech Republic and to travel on short excursions in Moravia.
